Announced on February 20, this feature is designed to curb the rising trend of thefts, hacks, and phishing scams within the cryptocurrency space, which resulted in losses of approximately $1.7 billion in 2023.

Automatic Protection for Users Across Multiple Networks

The integration marks a significant advancement in safeguarding MetaMask users by default on various networks, including Ethereum mainnet, Linea, BNB Chain, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, and Avalanche. Initially tested in a beta phase starting October 31, the feature aims to prevent the theft of hundreds of millions worth of assets by alerting users about suspicious transactions.
