Paris Saint-Germain Ventures into AI-Crafted NFTs with Crypto.com

A Pioneering Collaboration In a groundbreaking move, Paris Saint-Germain F.C., a top-tier French soccer club, has partnered with Crypto.com. Together, they’re releasing matchday posters, uniquely co-crafted with artificial intelligence, which fans can cherish as NFTs.

Art Meets AI

The innovative poster series owes its design to Benjamin Benichou, an artist who integrates generative AI into his creations. Out of 1,970 iterations, a select seven were earmarked for the NFT series. The exciting part? These seven NFTs will be freely airdropped on Crypto.com’s NFT platform, allowing eligible fans to lay claim to them.

Exclusive Rewards for Collectors

For die-hard supporters, collecting all seven NFTs can unlock exclusive benefits: prints of Benicho’s original artwork, autographed jerseys, and VIP passes to the season’s concluding home game.

 

Fabien Allègre, PSG’s Chief Brand Officer, expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “This venture has broadened our horizon on the limitless creative prospects with AI. We aim to trailblaze, setting a futuristic standard for sports and engaging the forthcoming wave of fans.”

Deciphering the “Gala Games” Confusion

Intriguingly, a Crypto.com representative clarified a potential misunderstanding. “Gala Games” featured in promotional materials pertains to marquee matches, not the crypto gaming startup, Gala Games.

A Flourishing Partnership

Last year, Crypto.com inked a deal, stepping in as PSG’s maiden official cryptocurrency platform sponsor. This lucrative partnership reportedly brings in about $30 million for PSG over three years.

 

Notably, PSG’s foray into the Web3 domain isn’t new. Their 2020 collaboration with NFT-centric game Sorare and Lionel Messi’s 2021 transfer agreement involving Socios crypto tokens reflect their crypto ambitions.

Benichou’s Take on the Fusion

Apart from this venture, Benichou is the brains behind Drop, a social e-commerce startup. Sharing his excitement, he said, “When you synergize an iconic brand like PSG with AI’s might, you open the floodgates to limitless creativity.”

Another NFT Adventure: PSG and Lucky Buddy

PSG continues to ride the NFT wave, this time with Parisian artist, Ludo. They’re introducing unique NFTs, further solidifying the bond between the club and its global fanbase. Fabien Allègre emphasized PSG’s innovative streak and their proactive approach to blockchain trends.

 

These exclusive NFTs, embodying the spirit of the club, will be available for purchase on OpenSea. Furthermore, sales proceeds will partly contribute to the Paris Saint-Germain Endowment Fund, cementing the club’s commitment to social causes.
